But now, tension between the U.S. and the rest of the alliance has grown as the Trump administration pushes a "NATO 3.0" idea that Europe should take the lead on its own conventional defense and the Department of War has launched a six-month review that could lead to the biggest U.S. drawdown in Europe since the 1990s. Today, we head to Spain, one of the countries that’s been a big Trump critic, to take stock of Trump’s impact on NATO.
