In the latest dustup over a groundbreaking HIV prevention medicine, Doctors Without Borders has harshly criticized the manufacturer for refusing to sell its treatment directly to humanitarian organizations. The move came after months of talks in which Doctors Without Borders asked Gilead Sciences for a “limited” supply of lenacapavir. The drug has been in demand after studies showed a single set of injections every six months can offer virtually complete protection from infection, a form of prevention known as preexposure prophylaxis, or PrEP. Politics / March 30, 2026 Somehow, they’ve managed to top themselves in the crisis over TSA funding. Who knew that was even possible? Ad Policy Mike Johnson holds a press conference in the US Capitol on March 27, 2026.(Samuel Corum / Getty Images) It’s a bit too on the nose, metaphorically speaking, that the latest example of the utter prostration of our national legislature before an unhinged and power-mad executive branch concerns the failure to competently manage air travel. Senseless holding patterns, traffic bottlenecks, unscheduled delays, and pointless marathon waits in line—the many indignities of flying almost perfectly mirror the…

By Jennifer Asencio | Published 28 seconds ago Unless you’re a Hollywood insider, the name Barry Caldwell might not mean that much to you until now. He was a prolific animator who died on March 24, 2026. His work, however, is not only famous but extremely beloved. His career animating very recognizable cartoons started in 1980 with storyboard work on Fat Albert and the Cosby Kids, and it wasn’t long before he was drawing for episodes of the classic…

O n Jan. 11, 1994, I drove to UCLA’s Royce Hall to hear Vice President Al Gore deliver the keynote address at the Information Superhighway Conference. I was in the early stages of building Intertainer, which would become one of the first video-on-demand companies. The 2,000 people crowded into that auditorium did not know it, but they were crossing a threshold. The roster of speakers read like a who’s who of industrial power: TCI’s John Malone, Rupert Murdoch, Sony’s Michael Schulhof, Barry Diller of QVC. These were among the richest and most commanding figures in American communications. Today, their combined…
