Dave Allen has expressed complete confidence in his prediction for Daniel Dubois vs Fabio Wardley 2, having identified a key difference between their first fight and rematch. The two heavyweights squared off in a brutal battle the first time around, with Dubois becoming a two-time world champion by dethroning Wardley for the WBO title. Despite flooring his man in rounds one and three, Wardley was unable to maintain his control and, eventually, found himself on the receiving end of an 11th-round finish. After losing their May contest in convincing fashion, the 31-year-old then activated the rematch clause in their contract…

Cone Health, the Greensboro, North Carolina, health system, is ending its hospital-at-home program after reviewing its priorities and the model’s long-term sustainability, Becker’s Hospital Review reported on Oct. 14. The program, which treated hospital-level patients in their own homes, will wind down during the fourth quarter, and current patients will continue to receive care during the transition. The decision stands out because Medicare’s payment pathway for these programs is no longer on a short leash. Congress extended the federal waiver through 2030 earlier this year. For patients and families, Cone’s exit raises a practical question: if a program that reported no…

The conflict that Donald Trump has repeatedly proclaimed an unequivocal American victory keeps spiraling out of control. Freddie Prinze Jr. has survived a slasher, been a slasher, and has taken his far share of rides in the Mystery Machine, so it’s safe to say dude knows his way around Halloween. That’s why we sat him down for the latest episode of Good Spirits, Bacardí and UPROXX’s series where horror favorites sip a cocktail and swap spooky-season stories. Prinze talked us through his favorite Halloween drink (it’s the Spookito!), his obsession with Tales From The Crypt, and how the Crypt Keeper became his hero. As he puts it, the show was to horror fans what SNL was to…

Yves here. This study on the mortality costs of climate change may seem unduly simple in its construction but it still makes an important point. The lifespan cost of higher temperatures is greater than can be explained by the direct effects of heat, such as heatstroke, alone. More extreme weather patterns, increasingly out of line with historical planting and harvest cycles, endanger life, limb, and livelihoods.
